How the Shipping Cost Calculator Works

This calculator turns parcel dimensions and weight into a shipping price using a tariff table you enter yourself. Enter length, width and height in centimetres and pick the volumetric factor: carriers divide the volume by 5000 for parcels and by 6000 for bulky goods, which gives the volumetric weight. The chargeable weight is the greater of actual and volumetric weight, rounded up to half a kilogram. The tariff table holds one line per tier as zone; max weight; price, with "*" for the open-ended top tier. A quantity discount applies for 1 to 100 parcels, and surcharges for bulky goods, cash on delivery, insurance and fuel are added per parcel. A second table shows a competing tariff beside the first. The pre-filled values are examples only - replace them with your own contract rates.

Dieser Rechner macht aus Paketmaßen und Gewicht einen Versandpreis, und zwar über eine Tarif-Tabelle, die Sie selbst eintragen. Länge, Breite und Höhe in Zentimetern eingeben und den Volumenfaktor wählen: Frachtführer teilen das Volumen für Pakete durch 5000 und für Sperrgut durch 6000; daraus entsteht das Volumengewicht. Das frachtpflichtige Gewicht ist der größere Wert aus tatsächlichem und volumetrischem Gewicht, aufgerundet auf die nächste halbe Kilogrammstufe. Die Tarif-Tabelle enthält eine Zeile je Gewichtsstufe im Format Zone; max. Gewicht; Preis, mit "*" für die offene oberste Stufe. Ein Mengenrabatt gilt für 1 bis 100 Pakete, Zuschläge für Sperrgut, Nachnahme, Versicherung und Treibstoff werden je Paket addiert. Eine zweite Tabelle stellt einen Vergleichstarif daneben.
