Age Calculator

How the Age Is Calculated

An age is not a division. This calculator compares the date of birth with the calculation date on the calendar: it takes whole years first, then whole months, then the remaining days, borrowing from the previous month when the day number is smaller. That is why the result matches what people actually say - from 29 February to 1 March is one day, and a full year is only reached when the same calendar day comes round again. Leap years are handled exactly, including the century rule that makes 1900 a common year and 2000 a leap year. Next to the age you get the absolute number of days, the equivalent in weeks and days, the hours counted from whole days, the weekday you were born on, the date and day count of your next birthday, and the western zodiac sign for the date. The calculation date defaults to today and can be set to any other date. Nothing is sent to a server.
